Tiny Hands ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Tiny Hands mobile application and website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. We are committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of your family. By using Tiny Hands, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information: • Account Information: Your name, email address, and password when you register. • Profile Information: Your current mode (expecting or new parent), due date, baby's name, baby's birthday, baby's gender, and optional profile/baby photos. • Health & Care Data: Sleep logs, feeding and pumping logs, growth measurements, milestones, activity logs (diaper changes, baths), mood and gratitude entries, and reminders. • Collaboration Data: Co-parent and nanny linking information, shared permissions, messages, and handover notes. • Community Content: Posts, likes, and reports you submit within the community. • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, device information, and crash reports. • Optional Data: Wearable/monitor sync data and anonymous analytics — only if you explicitly enable them in Privacy Settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service • Create and manage your account and profile • Track and display your pregnancy and baby care data • Generate personalized AI insights and tips based on your logged data • Enable co-parent and nanny collaboration features when you choose to share • Send reminders, notifications, and weekly digest emails • Facilitate community features and peer matching (only with your consent) • Respond to your support requests • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse • Comply with our legal obligations
4. Data Sharing & Collaboration
Tiny Hands is designed to help you share parenting data with the people you trust: • Co-Parents: When you invite a co-parent and they accept, you each choose what the other can see or edit (sleep, feeding, growth, milestones, mood, vaccinations). You can revoke access at any time. • Nannies & Caregivers: You can invite a nanny to view schedules, log activities, and submit shift summaries. Nanny access is limited to what you explicitly grant and can be deactivated at any time. • Community: Your community posts may be visible to other users. You control whether your name appears or you post anonymously. Your health data is never linked to your community posts. • Peer Matching: Only if you opt in, your name and journey stage may be shown to other parents with similar profiles. We never sell your data to third parties. We do not share your health or care data with any third party without your explicit consent.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual logs at any time within the app. When you delete your account, we permanently remove all your data including baby logs, milestones, sleep records, and profile within 30 days. Some information may be retained in backup systems for up to 90 days before permanent deletion, and where required by law.
6. Your Data Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data: • Access: View all your data within the app at any time. • Export: Request a full export of your data by contacting support. • Correction: Edit your profile and logs at any time within the app. • Deletion: Delete individual records or your entire account and all associated data. • Withdraw Consent: Turn off data sharing, community visibility, or peer matching in Privacy Settings at any time. • Object: Object to processing of your data for legitimate reasons. 7. Data Security
We take the security of your family's data seriously. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel and is protected by row-level security — each user can only access their own records unless they have explicitly shared with a co-parent or nanny. We conduct regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Tiny Hands is designed for parents and caregivers to track information about their babies and children. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All data about babies and children is provided by their parent or legal guardian, who controls that data and may delete it at any time. If you believe we have collected information from a child in violation of this policy, please contact us immediately.
9. Third-Party Services
Our Service may use third-party services for authentication (e.g., Google Sign-In), calendar integration (e.g., Google Calendar), and analytics. These third parties have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We only share the minimum information necessary for these services to function. We do not share your health or care data with advertising networks or data brokers.
10. International Users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your data will be processed and stored in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to and processing in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy within the app and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
